Antique gun case in fitted French style with silver plaque on top of lid inscribed Tcolleghi del commando corps S.M. with Air Force emblem and signature facsimile along with 1937 date on left. The case is fitted for two "Rat Tail" Flintock North African pistols, a flask of same origin and a large dagger also of that design or from that area. Pistols were 21-1/2" overall and dagger about 21-1//2" also. Box 25H" x 14W" by nearly 3", sliver plate inlaid 10-1/2" across center about the time the Italian Fascists under Mussolini moved into North Africa where the guns and dagger of this style were used and carried. Interesting to research further.
